Cannabichromene (CBC)
CBC is short for cannabichromene. It stems from cannabigerolic acid and like other cannabinoids and extracts is reported to have many natural benefits.
Cannabidiol (CBD)

Cannabigerol, or CBG, is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in CBD extracts. It is the parent molecule from which many other cannabinoids are derived earning it the nickname: the mother of all cannabinoids.
Cannabinoids
Cannabinoids are naturally occurring composites found within the hemp plant. There are many different cannabinoids found within the plant, each with different structural makeup and a range of potential benefits and uses.
CBCA
CBCA shares many chemical similarities with CBC but it is specifically categorized as a cannabinoid acid. This means that it exerts slightly different effects on the body to CBC.
CBDA
CBDA is the chemical makeup of the molecule before it is transformed into CBD. Its molecular structure makes it difficult to isolate therefore it is most commonly found in tinctures, creams and juices.
CBGA
CBGA is the molecule that exists before heat and light are added to create CBG. It is an essential element in the creation of numerous cannabinoids and it is believed to deliver numerous health benefits.
E

Hemp
Hemp is a unique variety of the Cannabis plant and is grown for many specific uses. It is a versatile plant that has enormous potential and it is used to make a large number of products. Find out more about hemp here.
I
Isolate
CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD. It is carefully extracted to allow users to benefit from Pure CBD without any of the other naturally occurring cannabinoids or compounds.
M
Minerals
A mineral is a naturally occurring substance found in the earth. Minerals are an essential part of healthy living and should form part of a balanced diet.

Petroleum-free
Petroleum-free means that a product does not contain any of the damaging hydrocarbons that are derived from petroleum.
Phytocannabinoids
Cannabinoids that are created by a plant are actually called phytocannabinoids. The ‘phyto’ signifies that these naturally occurring elements have been produced by a process involving sunlight.
Psychotropic
The term psychotropic describes any substance that affects mood or behaviour. It is a commonly misused term and not to be confused with psychoactive: a term to describe a drug that affects the function of the brain.
Purification
Purification is the process of extracting CBD from its source elements. There are different levels and stages of purification depending on the CBD product.
S
Sustainability

They are also responsible for the unique aroma and taste present within the different EthicaCBD products.
