Enjoy the experience. Take CBD properly.

Estimated reading time: 3 min

To properly experience the best that EthicaCBD can offer, it is important to properly administer the product. Our whole plant broad spectrum CBD, for example, has a unique taste that can be savoured, so the method of ingestion is not only crucial in maximising potential, it’s a chance to fully appreciate the flavour of our extracts. It’s been a long journey to be able to achieve a product this good, so it deserves due care and diligence in its delivery.

We want you to enjoy the experience of taking CBD oil as we believe you can taste the care and attention that has gone into creating our superior products. In order to do this, we recommend that you place the oil beneath the tongue, using the supplied spray or dropper, and leave it there undisturbed for at least 2 minutes. This is the most effective way of beginning to feel the natural benefits of EthicaCBD.

Allowing the product to absorb into your system by placing it under the tongue results in a quicker entry to the bloodstream and lets the user experience faster results. This method of ingestion also preserves a higher quantity of the CBD.

Dosage guidelines:

If using the dropper, we would recommend that 3 drops, 3 times a day are placed underneath the tongue.

For those using a spray, one pump should be administered to the same area.

To allow the CBD to most efficiently and effectively enter your system, we suggest that you leave the extract there for 2 minutes and that towards the end of this time you use your tongue to work any residue around the inside of your mouth before swallowing.

Our dosage guidelines are simple because we recognise the big impact a small drop of CBD can have. We think that those new to CBD should begin by taking three drops of our standard strength oil, three times a day. Some users will notice an instant impact, whilst others may not feel the benefits for a few weeks. It is important to give the CBD time to work for you.

If you are not confident using the dropper, we also provide a spray. This is a convenient method which is preferred by those on the move for its practicality and has the added advantage of being more discreet. Please remember not to exceed consumption of 70mg of CBD in any 24 hour period.

How often can you use CBD?

When you start taking a CBD product, you should start with a small dosage before gradually increasing it. This will give you time to see how you react to the CBD before consuming the full daily amount. It is very important to adhere to the recommended intake on the product label because CBD products are sold in different strengths.

What other ways can I take CBD?

One of the benefits of CBD is its versatility and as a result, it can be administered in a variety of ways. Each method offers the user a different experience with CBD so it is important to choose the method of ingestion that best suits your needs. Consumers don’t need to be limited to one type of delivery with many users choosing to mix up their methods of intake. The four main ways of taking CBD oil are as follows:

Sublingual CBD

The word sublingual is Latin for ‘under the tongue’. It refers to the process of administering a substance under the tongue in order for it to be diffused into the bloodstream via tissues that are present in the mouth. We think this is the best way to enjoy EthicaCBD, especially our whole plant products, as it allows for quick delivery of the essential natural oils and extracts. Sublingual CBD, sometimes known as SL, is fast, discreet, and easy to manage.

Topical CBD

Topical CBDs are slightly different to other CBD products. As well as reacting with endocannabinoids inside the body, the CBD combines with receptors on the surface of the skin to promote supple, healthy, and balanced skin. CBD topicals, creams, and becoming increasingly more popular as consumers discover the benefits that can be found in their daily use. There are many testimonials online regarding uses of topical CBD products if you wish to find out more.

How much CBD is absorbed through skin?

CBD can be absorbed through the skin. The amount absorbed depends very much on the formulation of the particular product which contains CBD. CBD may be included in products for topical application in oils, creams, sprays, gels or skin patches.

Inhalation of CBD

Another way of ensuring rapid entry to the bloodstream is administration through inhalation. When CBD is inhaled it diffuses into the system via cells in the lungs. CBD is frequently being added to vape products and is increasingly popular when combined with other flavours and extracts. CBD vapes are generally low in THC and are highly synthesized, although they must always be purchased from a reputable source.

Oral CBD

Ingesting CBD orally is perhaps the most versatile way of experiencing the benefits of CBD. In this form, the CBD can be swallowed directly or added to food, drink or any other edible product. The benefit of this is the taste is completely masked and it can be discreetly added to familiar routines. There are many products available that allow CBD to be consumed in this way, but whilst administration is easy, allowing CBD to enter your body through your digestive system often causes some breakdown of the CBD itself. It also slows down the process, meaning that it can take up to 2 hours to begin to feel the benefits.
