It’s with a heavy heart that I’m sharing the news that EthicaCBD will be closing its doors.

When we set out seven years ago, our ambition was to create the world’s best natural topical. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved, and of the difference our products have made to so many people. But the reality is that producing something to that standard is exceptionally expensive, and it has placed considerable financial strain on the business.

Ultimately, whilst we succeeded in our mission to help people, the investment required to take EthicaCBD forward comes with risks that the shareholders have decided they can no longer justify. As such, we’ve made the difficult decision to bring the business to a close.

This has not been an easy decision, particularly knowing that so many of you have come to rely on our products as part of your daily lives.

My own personal experience with CBD was what inspired EthicaCBD in the first place. It was always our mission to connect the potential of this plant, alongside other natural extracts, with the people who stood to benefit from them. Everything we’ve done over the past seven years has been driven by that belief.

To know that we’ve helped so many of you along the way means a great deal to me. We could not have reached as many people as we have done without our fantastic community sharing experiences, to help us reach those who would themselves find benefit in our products.

Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or discovered us more recently, thank you for putting your trust in us, for sharing your experiences, and for being part of the EthicaCBD journey. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.

We are exploring ways to bring the project back in the future, particularly with respect to the gel. If we can find a way to make that happen, we will. I know how much it means to some of you, and I’d love to see it have a future.

But for now, our priority is to make our remaining products as affordable as possible, giving you the opportunity to stock up on the products you know and love while they’re still available.

With that in mind, we’ve reworked our website and purchasing process to offer single unit & quantity discounts across the range, with the biggest volume discounts we can afford to offer.

We’ll continue accepting and fulfilling orders for as long as stock remains available, but we won’t be replenishing the range as things stand.

If we do manage to bring the gel back, I’d anticipate it taking around a year, potentially longer. I wouldn’t want to raise expectations or make promises we can’t guarantee, but I thought it was important to be open with you about the potential timeline so you can make an informed decision about whether to stock up.

As part of the wind-down, I’ll also be stepping back to help conserve costs, allowing Joe to keep things running for the time being, while my mum continues sending out your orders from our base in Bude.

I wish things had turned out differently. EthicaCBD has been so much more than a business to me, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built over the past seven years. Most of all, I’m grateful that we’ve been able to play a small part in helping so many people find a more natural approach to their wellbeing.
